Michael Lang is President of Lang Media Group, working with clients across the media space on investment and strategic opportunities — FilmTrack being one of the companies in his portfolio. Previously he served as CEO of Miramax, where he successfully orchestrated a turnaround of the company, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in new multi-year license deals across the studio’s iconic film library. It was at Miramax where Mike first worked with FilmTrack and the Kassin brothers, leveraging their platform to more effectively monetize the library around the world.
Prior to Miramax, Lang ran Business Development & Strategy for Fox Entertainment, where he worked across News Corp’s entertainment assets, including overseeing the creation of the online video site Hulu, the acquisition of MySpace and the launch of several new cable channels. He started his career in media at The Walt Disney Company after graduating from the Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar. In addition to FilmTrack, Lang serves on the Board of the Harlem Globetrotters and the game developer Foundation 9. He also is actively involved in several emerging digital start-ups, including advising one of YouTube’s largest multi-channel networks. Mike also serves on the Kravis Leadership Institute of his alma mater Claremont McKenna College.
